On Saturday, 5th September two special events will merge together at St Columba:  The re-dedication of the refurbished kitchen, games’ room, toilets and disabled accesses; and the concert of a Swedish choir from Sollerön.  The two will fit together like a good IKEA furniture.  The King Street Hall will be open to the public from about 5:00pm so all those interested can have a look at the accomplished work, while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.  From 6:00pm the Rev. Ian Miller, Convener of the Presbytery’s Planning Committee will conduct the short re-dedication service in the hall.  From 6:30pm Sollerökören (Sollerö Choir) will give their concert in the church.  They will bring to us Swedish folk melodies and classical songs.  Admission to the events, concert included, are free of charge, but at the end of the concert there will be a retiring thanksgiving offering, expressing our gratitude to God for the accomplished work.  The offering will support the building of St Columba church in Kalaba Town, Sierra Leon.  The choir will also participate in our services on Sunday, both at Easy Worship (9:45am) and at Morning Worship (11:00am).  We are looking forward to having you there on Saturday and Sunday.
